WHAT IS SEX DISCRIMINATION?
You may have been discriminated against because of your sex if someone has treated you less favourably than a person of the opposite sex in the same circumstances as you and has done so because of your sex or because of a characteristic that is associated with your sex. Such treatment is illegal under the Sex Discrimination Act. The Sex Discrimination Act also protects people being less favourably treated by reason of their:
